Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I am 25 and a bartender while in college actually about to gradute to become a respiratory therapist . I was issue a citation for sale to an intoxicated person after TABC did a sting at my bar. They are attempting to charge me with a class A misdemeanor. How serious is this and can it affect me in the career that I am entering.

A class A misdemeanor carries a range of punishment of up to a year in jail and maximum fine of $4000. It sounds like you may be able to get probation for this offense. I worry more about how a conviction would affect your ability to get a license as a respiratory therapist. You need an attorney
