You will be charged as a juvenile in juvenile court. If you have been doing well in school with grades and attendance, and you have not been in any other trouble, there is a chance that the prosecutors' office will agree to give you deferred prosecution - a gift that is like being on probation that results in a dismissal at the end if you meet the requirements. The probation department will contact you and your family to do an interview & background check on you if the prosecution is considering this up front. If not, you may have to go to court (with a lawyer) and get the lawyer to convince the prosecutor to give you this.
You need to be flying right. You need to be in school every day working hard to make the best possible grades. You need to be doing your homework & following your parents' rules. You will have a curfew. You need to be off drugs and able to take a drug test at any time. You need to take this as your opportunity to learn a lesson without it causing you too much trouble. At age 17 you are an adult and this kind of charge could really mess up your life.
