Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
At 33, I got a record. I am from Texas but have moved to Kansas and can not get a job due to my felony. How can I get a State Felony conviction dropped down to a misdemenor. I got it last year in Texas for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. What are the steps, if any, that I can take to get it dropped down to a misdemeanor or even expunged?

Unfortunately, unless you are pardoned, this is a final conviction on your record for the rest of your life. You cannot get a misdemeanor reduced to felony after you have plead guilty to the felony.
