Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

My 16 year old daughter received a citation for theft under 50, this would be the first time she has ever been in trouble. On the Harris county web site that I found said the fine and other fees would be 545.00, is this true for a first time offense and the stuff was 20.00 that she was trying to steal? Thank You

Don't know about the fine and fees but you should not have your daughter pleading guilty and getting a final conviction (fine) for a crime of moral turpitude. Your daughter needs to ask for & receive deferred adjudication or deferred prosecution in order that she can expunge the record in the future. If the court won't grant it on your request then you need to hire a lawyer.
