my 20 year old nephew is a murderer
my nephew was charged for a murder that he committed at the age of 17.how does that work.he was a juvenile at that time.what penalty is for that as a juvenile.what determines if charge him as adult.he has no record.

Under Texas criminal law, you are an adult when you turn 17.
18 and 21 are cutoffs for various civil situations, but at 17 you are an adult in the criminal justice system.
