Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Hello. I ( or anyone ) was accused of shoplifting from Walmart store and given a citation plus a warning to not to return to the store plus a notice of a future civil lawsuit .
Suppose I hire an attorney and choose to be in a trial and happen to be found no guilty at the verdict. Then are those extra issues going to be dismissed ? Can I go to the police department to ask to cancel their warning also ignore the civil suit ?
If no, then why ?
If yes , How the police department prejudged one before an official conviction ?
Please advise Thanks

You are always "prejudged" by police when you are issued a citation or arrested. They are taking the information they receive and going to the DA's office for charges (or giving you a citation.
The police have nothing to do with the civil suit. That is strictly by the company - Walmart.
Hire a lawyer.
