Depending on the intent when one entered the house, the offense is either a first or second degree felony which carry 5 - 99 or life and 2-20 years in prison respectively. It also depends on the criminal history. Finally, probation or deferred adjudication is an option. (The offense is known as burglary of a habitation in Texas.)
