Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Age of Consent - Possible Trouble 17 & 25?
If a 17 year old engages in consensual sexual contact with a 24/25 year old, is that breaking the law, or are they considered an adult at that point? I was told it's only legal if the other person is within 5 years of their age. I appreciate your assistance.

No it is not against the law.
(Probably not very smart, but it is not illegal). (And the age difference is not a free pass, but an affirmative defense, and it is 3 years -- in some circumstances).
