Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I was allowed to move into tiny home community while on probation for sexual assault and I’m registered sex offender. I have been living there for four months. Now the community leaders want to talk to me about my criminal background check. Is there anything they can do to me?

Who "allowed" you? If you are a renter, you are easier to have removed. The community may have bylaws that your landlord violated by leasing to you. My first step would be to talk with my probation officer to see if they have any information that could enlighten you so you will have more knowledge as you go into the meeting, if you go to the meeting. (First question I have is how can they MAKE you meet with them? That said, depending on the underlying facts of your offense (which must not be too heinous if they chose to give probation), if I chose to attend the meeting I would have all my documentation including something that shows the actual allegation (such as the indictment). If it was consensual sex with someone underage, it is different than a forcible rape. That said, many parents will not like that especially if the age range is very large but it cld make a difference,. Also, see if you can get the community rules as well as look up the sex offenders in your area on the sex offender website.
