Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
APPEAL ON FELONY/REVIEW OF CASE-help
My girlfriend was convicted on a burgulary change and is
serving a 6 month sentance. She had a court appointed lawyer who only saw her once and never saw her until he court date. Is that normal? The judge told her she could not appeal the case by signing the paper and if she did not he would send her to jail for 10 years. I do not think any facts were presented. She has no previous record except traffic related. She was in a situation and with someone whom she did not know was going to what they did. I feel bad we didn't get a private lawyer, can anyone help? Thanks

Do you have an attorney now? Where did the offense occur? What court was it? When was the trial?
