Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Appealing a guilty verdict when pled guilty
How should I go about getting my husbands guilty verdict appealed when he pled guilty to the charges? The attorney we used did not inform us with the charges against him. We just went with what he told us to do and we were ill informed all along the way.

Re: Appealing a guilty verdict when pled guilty
When did he plead guilty? Did he waive his right to appeal when he pled? He signed documents stating that he understood the charges against him. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to overcome that hurdle. If you are serious, however, hire a lawyer to review his file. Time is extremely short. Do this immediately.
