appealing a plea

Can a person appeal a plea bargain? If a person pleads guilty because they think they are facing more time than they really are, can you appeal it?

Re: appealing a plea

You need the permission of the trial judge, or it has to be based on an objection or motion separated from the plea bargain. Range of punishment will be difficult since it is normally included in the written plea papers, and is normally orally advised by the judge. If you believe you have a valid appeal, act fast, as there is a small window of opportunity. See a lawyer right away.
