Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Getting an Arrest Record Removed after a plea has been made.

I was put on deferred adjudication years ago, and I'm trying to get an arrest record removed. Expunction isn't possible because it was "court ordered probation". I spoke with a lawyer, and he said a writ of habeas corpus wouldn't apply in the Apellate Courts, because the case has been closed. Is there any other way to get the arrest record removed?

Expunction of arrest records

Probably not. However the final disposition of your case goes into the NCIC Computer as well as the arrest record. On deferred adjudication results in a dismissal if the terms and conditions are met and then a formal order of dismissal us entered on the records of the court.Police arrest records, however are normally not expungable unless the arrest was invalid to begin with.
