Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Arrest Record Showing?
I was arrested in December of 2004. Two weeks later I got a letter saying ''misdemeanor charges refused'' because '' this office will not and cannot prosecute cases where dual arrests are made'' I went to TXDPS crime records search and wanted to know if there is anything on my record. The search came back saying ''no matching records.'' my question is..are there any ways of finding out I was ever arrested? Some people tell me the arrest should show up as well as a the dismissal. How can i be 100% sure? I have job interviews and I don't want to have problems in the future.

Re: Arrest Record Showing?
Hello there,
If you want to make sure you have noting on your record contact a private investigator that has the ability to perform TCIC NCIC criminal history checks. Those are the Texas and National databases that would show any arrest, charge or conviction.
If there is something on there you can have the matter expunged if you were not officially charged.
Sincerely,
Erick Platten
