Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Can I be arrested for admitting to an officer I WAS in possession of a firearm but am no longer in possession of it now.(It is not in my name it was in my father's name) I am a convicted felon in the state of TX.

Well, think about this: What if you confessed to killing Jimmy Hoffa? Can you be executed for this? No, there has to be corroborating evidence.
The answer is: It violates your parole if you possess a firearm. It does NOT violate your parole if you SAY you have a gun.
