Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I was arrested back in 2000 for theft of a financial institution,I did not get to cash the check and I also told the police the lady who gave the check to me. they said that they would throw it out.But I still have it on my record how long is the statue of limitations for them to throw out a case? And then they arrested me in 2002 for the same case and tried to pin my father,s pain medication on me when I was moving his things from his house, the magistrate then also told me he would take that of my record becasuse I showed him that my dad was returning from the V.A hospital and moving that also is still on my record.

Even if cases are dismissed, the fact of the arrest and the dismissal will remain on your record. Assuming that the cases were dismissed, you need to hire an attorney to have the cases expunged from your record.
