Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I was arrested on Feb 16, 2006 for assualt on a family member. I was deployed to Iraq until November 2006. I was told by my ex wife the da dismissed the case. Now I was notified last week that the DA found the file to the case and is pursuing charges. I have court on 22 JULY 2010. Is there a statue to limitations.

If you do not show up in court, the judge will issue a warrant for your arrest. Since you are not in jail I assume that you got a bail bond. Eventually, the court could require the bondsman to pay the amount of the bond to the court which would result in a effort by the bondsman to collect the funds from the surety or co-signer. You need to get an attorney have the case reset until after you return from Iraq.
