Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I was arrested in 2001 and put on probation in 2002 for a felony and I applied for Job.. on the application it says Have I ever been convicted of a felony in the past 7 years? It is now 2012? I answered NO! is that correct?

Yes, that would be correct--the conviction would be in 2002, so it's definitely more than 7 years ago. Hopefully, whoever's reviewing the application will understand that (I guess that might be subject to different interpretations, and I doubt they will have attorneys decide the issue!). That's interesting--I don't think I've ever heard of a job application that's asked that question quite like that. Normally, they just want to know if you've EVER been convicted of a felony. Good luck with your potential job.
