Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I was arrested in Texas for public intoxication. The details of the arrest were sketchy to begin with. I was booked into jail and released on bond 4 hours later. I was told that if I did not post bond I would be in for 2 days before being released. I sent a FOIA request to the arresting sheriffs office requesting all documentation, including arrest report, as well as any video or audio. The officers car was parked approximately 20 feet from where I was being questioned, but the reply I got stated that the officer's car was too far away to have any audio or video. They only sent me a copy of the booking report from the jail, with no comments or information on the actual arrest. Is there anything I can do?

Where do you live and work now? You say you were arrested in Texas. This is a big state. Be more specific. What do you want to do with the case?
You are not entitled to the criminal case reports from the sheriff at this stage of the proceedings.
