Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
arrested although time served
Crime was committed in TX. Served time in IL for unlawful use of vehicle. This was 3 years ago. Has now been arrested on warrant for same crime in TX. What is the best and cheapest way to get this resolved? Can they not easily get the records from IL to show time served?

Re: arrested although time served
If different offenses, then no jeopardy. That is it was a different date of offense. You might be thinking about trying to get time served. However, the State is not likely to give time serve.
