Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Assault bodily injury

Hello,

I was told by my prepaid legal lawyer to plead guilty to assault with bodily injury, and waved my right for trail. The Judge had placed me in a domestic Violence Program but after learning how much the fees cost me I got really upset and blow up and was kicked out of the program. My Lawyer told me the fees would only be 75.00!! Now I am faced with 30-90 days in Jail. My question is what can I do NOT to go to jail, and other than Filing a Grievance against the lawyer would I have a case against her?

Re: Assault bodily injury

Would it be a good bet that you were in County Criminal Court #5 in Fort Worth? They send quite a few people to anger control counseling, but if you go to the course and then get angry and disruptive, they don't seem to want you around and you can't get through probation without it. The problem is not that your previous lawyer erred. Instead, it is the way you deal with problems that brought you to this situation. First you must understand and accept that. In response to the question "Whose fault is it that you are in the situation you are in?" The answer is that you have only yourself to blame. Understand that, then learn how to keep your cool long enough to take classes on how to keep your cool. If you figure that I am telling you the truth, then you may e-mail me at [email protected] You will be needing a lawyer right away and I do handle things of this nature and my office is by the corner of 157 and 183, and yes, you are in trouble and in a tight situation. However, if you can't accept the responsibility for your own actions which brought you to this junction, please find a different lawyer.
