Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

If someone had assault charges pressed on them and the charges were dropped (after $15,000, numerous plane tickets, bail, and 2 lawyers) The charges were dropped because the medical records just said he had a headache... This should have been found 4 years ago... when it happened. They had no case against the accused criminal in the first place, and now they are out all this money for nothing... is there anyway to get reimbursment for this, or even part of this?

Reimbursement from whom? You're not likely to get a dime out of the State unless you can show that they knew they wasn't a case and they went forward with it anyway. You might (a very slim possibility) be able to sue the accuser but again you would have to show that he fabricated the whole thing. It's a high hurdle to clear, but try calling some civil attorneys in the county the assault was prosecuted in to discuss further.
