Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Assistance of Council
Under Federal Indictment, Title 26, section 7203
I wish to have assistance of Council, not an attorney.
Can't afford attorney, Court appointed Public Defender is ineffective.
Do you know of any court cases that support Assistance of Council in misdemeaner cases?
Federal Judge appears to want a Attorney.
Government Prosecutor defenitly wants an attorney.
Thanks,

Re: Assistance of Council
What do you mean?
It is "counsel" and is the same thing as an attorney.
Years ago the title was "Counselor and Attorney at Law"
Assistance of counsel is the same thing as assistance of an attorney.
