Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Assualt
My boyfriend and I had a physical altercation back in May 2008. Both of us were arrested for assault on a family memeber and went to jail. We are still waiting for a court date. Neither one of us have an attorney. Can we use one attorney for both of us on this charge?

Re: Assualt
If you are charged with assaulting one another, then no, one attorney should not represent both of you. However, compatible attorneys might be able to resolve the matter to both of your best interests.
If you are both charged with assaulting someone else, it is technically possible, but you would both have to sign conflict waivers, and I advise against it.
