Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
how do assualt charges work over county lines? someone accused me of assualt and it was in a another county. i was assaulted too, but didn't file charges b/c i thought we were friends and since we had been drinking, i let it slide. she had a pre existing condition which she is now saying i intensisfied. she was on drugs and is also prescribed anti-pshycotics which she doesn't take. i am not on them but i am still really concerned.

The issue of county lines is not a barrier. If the originating agency issues a warrant for you, it can be executed in your county. You would then be held and transported to the originating county.
