Does an attorney need to be present for a P.C. 22.01 Assault by Contact? My son is 11 and was charged with this even though no adult witnessed him being involved.

Re: Attorney
The statute reads....(2)intentionally or knowingly causes physical contact with another when the person knows or should reasonably believe that the other will regard the contact as offensive or provocative. So to answer your question, I would hire a good lawyer to represent your son.
