Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
auto theft? immigration problems?
If a US green card holder buys a vehicle in the US, takes it to his native country, and stops making payments, can he be charged with auto theft, have the vehicle repossessed while out of the country, and get in trouble with the INS?

Re: auto theft? immigration problems?
You have a three part question. The short answer to your question is that much depends on the state of mind of the individual at the time the purchase was made. He can be sued, civilly, but I am not so sure about the criminal part of your question. I believe it is defensible. If he wants more information or a free consultation, have him email my paralegal, "[email protected]" with his contact information and I will get in touch.
