Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Is a bank liable for damages if they are told of a fraudulent investor using their services to "invest" other people's money?
In other words, if a bank customer is a crook, and the bank is told that the customer is a crook, and the crook disappears with client's money, what recourse does the poor investor have? The crook is gone. All that is left is the bank. Can they go after the bank, and hold the bank responsible? The bank did nothing when it was told about the crooked customer.
