Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Bench warrants
my fiance is serving a three year sentence in a texas prison, and has another pending case in another county in texas. My question is once he comes back to the county on a bench warrant what will happen to the remainder of his time that he has left in prison, will the time run congruent, also what will happen if this second case is dismissed, will he stay in the county or be transerred back to prison?

Re: Bench warrants
You should hire an attorney to talk to the District Attorney to see if they are going to proceed on this case.
If so he should put in a motion for a speedy trial so he can get the cause taken care of.
He also will receive credit for the time he has been in TDCJ.
