Are you saying that the person is charged with jumping bond as well as misdemeanor possession of marijuana? Bail jumping for a misdemeanor charge punishable by more than a fine is a Class A misdemeanor that carries up to 1 year in jail & up to a $4,000 fine. It can be satisfied by the court granting probation on the charge just as with any other charge. Whether the state would offer probation and whether the judge would accept such a sentence would depend heavily on the factors such as how long the person was gone, the explanation for missing court, whether the person turned themselves in or was caught, etc.
