Re: bond

Hello there,

In Texas no bond shall be set so high so that it works as a vehicle of oppression. One should be entitle to a bond that is reasonably high enough to assure there appearance in court.

So, if the bond is set to high one should file a motion for a bond reduction and argue what one could afford.

There is a legal test that must be met for judges to reduce the bond.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact my office.

Sincerely,

Erick Platten
