borrowed friends car get pulled over for traffic violation give permission to search police find a gram of meth in trunk. i am arrested? am i really liable?

the state must prove that you knowingly or intentionally possessed the meth. Possession is defined as the care, custody, control, or management of the contraband. If you did not know it was there, then you should not be liable.
