Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
A bounty hunter was about to apprehend someone and he and a sheriff's officer parked in my driveway. I was checking my mail and because I was seen as the house that was helping the police, I was brutally attacked in retaliation for what appeared to be my help of police. In such a case as this, what crime would the bounty hunter and the police officer have committed, since their actions placed my in danger and led to the attack.

They committed no crime by parking in your driveway. They might have trespassed if you told them to leave but they did not. They are not responsible for the assault upon you. However, the people who committed the assault can be charged not only with the assault but also with a felony - retaliation.
