Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Hello my boyfriend is looking to get his deffered adjudication sealed or expunged. How does he need to go about doing this? Also he has researched this specific thing and on the internet one website stated that the charged had to be 5 years or older is this true?

Whether or not he is eligible for nondisclosure dependson the offense for which he served deferred. And, the waiting period also depends on the offense. In general, if eligible, felonies must wait 5 years after the person is released from the probation. In general, if eligibile, misdemeanors can be done right away OR they must wait 2 years. (And, eligibility depends on what occurs during the waiting period, if any.)
