Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

my brother beat on my mom and myself
my brother gave me a mild concusion, hit my mom, and then when my boyfriend came to defend us, he stabbed him with a rusted 10 inch screw driver. We were at the hospital when the police showed. They took me, mom and boyfriend in a room to write down our statements. Myself and boyfriend decided to not file charges because my mom guilt tripped us into not doing so. But he is already out 7 hours later, and is not even sorry. He is blaming me and my mom for getting hit. Is there anyway me and boyfriend can go back and file charges? The state is already filing charges against him for what he did to me and mom. Thank you for your time. I am also missing work, because of the concusion.

Go back to the police, and retract your statements.

BTW -- for future reference, when someone tries to kill you -- remorse or lack of remorse is a bad reason to blow it off.
