Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
my brother-in law tried to kill himself on his rx script by taking massive amounts while drinking my sister was scared locked her and their baby in the bedroom.then kicked the door off the frame to my sisters room and tried to take the keys to leave in the car but my sister wouldnt give him the keys he grabbed her and tried to force the keys outta her hand when i went to pull him back he went to hit me and missed twice,so i hit him and he tried to wrestle me on their bed i got up and told him to leave as i was walking he went and grabbed a hunting knife then tried to come after me.i called the cops told them he needed help they took him to the hospital and now he wants to press charges on me for assualt.do i have anything to worry about?
