Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Burglary/Theft

My apartment was robbed and Valubles worth around $30,000 were lost. I dont have a renters insurance and the apartment management doesn't respond properly.

My apartment is a gated community and the stolen goods were transported using the Gated entrance. The Video surveilance system is not working during this period.

I have filed a police complaint and my case hasn't been assigned a detective yet.

Is there a way i can contact an attorney and get legal advice in my case ?

Can i sue the apartment Management for thier security system failure.

Many attorneys will provide a free initial consultation. You need to bring your apartment lease and any documents provided by the apartment complex, especially documents advertising the security system. The fact that you did not have renter's insurance is not good. Also you need to be able to show what was taken and prove the value. It sound's like you are in the Bexar County Area where I practice.
