Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Burglury of Habitat

im 18 years old and i was convicted of a felony which i pleaded guilty to. that is still pending. the other day i was in school 2 detectives brought me down and questioned me about a burglary of one of my friends house(this was my best friend) i moved to another city a few weeks ago due to my parents. they are trying to say i did it because they found fingerprints on his screen which they said was on the ground. keep in mind he was my best friend ive been over to his house millions of times and i know for a fact i touched his screen which i was in his presence to open the window. all they said was they have my fingerprints and no more evidence and nothing more they claimed they looked up my pawn records and saw the things i pawned but nothing of his i told them i was innocent of this crime they made it look like i wouldn't of gone to jail if i told them what they wanted to hear they were basically trying to get a confession out of me that is not even there. will they even have a case? all they have is my fingerprint and i use to go to his house ALL the time.

First, stop talking to the police. You have a right not to make any statements. You don't even have to return their calls. It sounds like the fingerprint evidence is not enough to charge you because you had legitimate reasons for leaving prints. Lacking evidence, police know that they can only make a case with a confession. Most guilty people will confess if pressed enough. Whether or not you committed the offense, avail yourself of your right to remain silent and contact an attorney. Tell the officers that you will answer no more questions without an attorney present. They are required to stop attempting to question you.
