Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Busted-One arrested, One not

When police came to my cousin's apartment, she allowed them to search, and Meth was found. Some on her person and some on a table. Even though the apt. was in her name, I stayed there most of the time. The police said they were acting on a phone call that two girls there sold drugs to her child. We hadn't. But the police found all they needed. I was allowed to stay if I signed as a witness, but I was not arrested! ONly my cousin was arrested! Now they think I turned her in to bail myself out of some jam! Didn't happen. They think I am a CI! I am not. What are the procedures in a case like this one usually? How can I prove I am not a CI? Even if I had been a CI, would the arrest for the so called jam be public record? That would prove that I was never arrested, in a jam, if there was no record when there should have been one..Thanks.

You need to be more worried about eventually going to prison for hanging out with a cousin selling meth. You were very lucky here. Very.
