Carrying a weapon without a license
How much time could you get for carrying a weapon and how serious of a crime is it. My brother was pulled over in Texas and is being held for a clean gun.

Re: Carrying a weapon without a license
Carrying a concealed weapon without a concealed carry permit is a serious crime. How much time one could get depends upon a number of factors, primarily the defendant's prior criminal history. If he is a convicted felon, for example, and is prosecuted at the state level, he would likely get at least one year of confinement. If he is in the federal system, it could be substantially more, again depending upon his prior criminal record.
