Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Chain of evidence
When being investigated by an employer and a separate investigation by the police, if I have given a written statement to ONLY the employer and have not told them they can release it to the police are they allowed to hand over a hard copy anyway to the police?

absolutely. Any statement you give to anyone, whether written or not, can be used against you.
