Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I am being chareged with misdeamenor assault for holding my 16 year old step son after he jumped me twice in our home during an arguement with his mother. I did the minimum in my mind to keep him of me. Should I be concerned about these charges.

Of course you should be worried. You are charged wth a class A assault on a family member. If the case is not dismissed or does not result in a not guilty verdict (you take deferred, time served, etc.), then it is a final conviction for a family violence offense which has many serious consequences including it will be a felony if you are charged again in the future.
