what is the charge for unlawful possesion of a firearm by a felon, hes been off probation for 6 years

Under Texas state law, the offense of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon is considered a third degree felony under 46.04 of the penal code. This has a punishment range of 2 to 10 years in prison and up to $10k in fines.
