Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I have been charged with Burglary of Habitation with intent to commit another felony. I was not the one that broke the door nor was anything stolen. I punched the guy once during the incident . The people are saying that they didn't know us previously but we all knew them well. Is there a way to get the charged lowered?

You are charged with a first degree felony because of the intent to commit another felony or assault. You might be able to plea bargain the case down to a burg of a hab second degree felony (with intent to commit theft). You need a lawyer, though.
