I cannot tell if you mean you signed a confession, but in any event, you really should stop discussing the case with ANYONE except a lawyer.

I am presuming that you made bond. Be careful, some judges do not want to appoint a 'free' lawyer if you had the money to post bond. You should make appointments with attorneys in your area -- you might be surprised, you may be able to afford an attorney -- especially if it is a plea, and he/she takes a payment plan. Start making calls tomorrow.

Get a job or get into school. Start demonstrating that you are changed, and becoming stable. It will make a better impression on the judge.

yes, both of the charges are state jail felonies. As a result, you are facing up to 6 months to 2 years in state jail and a fine not to exceed $10,000 on each charge. You state that you have not been in trouble before. Without a prior felony conviction, you should get probation. However, if possible you want deferred probation. This way if you complete probation, you will not have a criminal conviction on your record. I have not had a case in Coryell County so I do not know what the district attorney's standard recommendations are. I hope that this has help you feel better.
