A class B misdemeanor carries a punishment range of up to 180 days in jail and up to a $2,000 fine.there. There is also a potential license suspension involved. So this is something to be taken seriously. Only way to get it "off your record" is to get found not guilty or get the case dismissed and seek an expunction. A deferred probation may be offered to you which is not a conviction if successfully completed but that will still be on your record. You could try to seal it but it would still be there.

You should hire an attorney and they will be able to go over your options in greater detail.
