child being absent from school
principal @ daughter's elementary school filed a criminal complaint against me...now been summoned to appear before a justice of the peace.
what should i expect?

You will likely appear along with many other parents. You may be ordered to attend parenting classes and the court will monitor your child's attendance. If you fail to comply with the court's orders, you may be fined and/or jailed for contempt of court.
