child related sex offence
A 21 year old was having a friendly love relationship with a 13 1/2 yr old. They are still friends three yrs later , the girl turned 16 yrs, and they plan to marry soon.
No Sex or Kissing occured. Is this relationship a crime

Hello there,
If there is just a platonic relationship going on right now and there is no actual physical contact between the 21 year old and the 16 year old a crime has not occurred.
At the age of 17 an individual can legally have sexual relations in Texas.
