Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Child Support/Threats

My ex-husband recently received his 2nd DWI and is now telling both my daughter and me that he will not pay any child support. He also made threats of physical and property violence, which I reported to my local sheriff's dept. My question is-would non-payment of child support and the threats be considered a violation of his bond from his DWI arrest? And who would I contact about this? Thank you.

Re: Child Support/Threats

Threats of physical violence is a crime. A standard condition on bond would be no new law violations. I don't think threatening to stop child support would violate his bond.

I would call the prosecutors office and talk to them about the threats and make sure they know he is on bond.
