Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

My children's paternal grandfather is a trustee on the LCISD school board, and it is a known "family secret" that he is a pedophile. Due to his daughters young age when the sexual abuse first started, she has spent the time since she reached the legal age of 18 getting counseling rather than pressing charges. Needless to say, he has not been reported as a sex offender. His daughter believes that she is not his only victim and the man keeps pornography involving incestuous acts around his bedroom for his pleasure. He is extremely manipulative and he lies all the time, and I feel that he is an extreme danger to children and their innocence. He is not allowed around my children and we have no contact with him, but he is on the school board and is allowed to visit the campuses and classrooms, and my 5 yr old son, who is autistic and has limited communication skills just started kindergarten a few days ago. I am very worried that my father-in-law will have contact with or hurt my child while he is at school, and he refuses to resign from the school board. Legally, what can I do to get him off the school board and protect my child?

That requires a political resolution unless you want to go to the DA with your proof of what you say. They may talk to you. It's worth a try, but be prepared to back up your accusations with real proof, not rumor or talk or feelings or such as. It will take a victim to come forward, not just you telling what you know, for something to really happen. And even then . . .?? Depends on your DA's office. I empathize, I'm just being realistic with you.
